I have picked up so many bargain pc games for £1 - 2, as I am to stingy to pay full price . I like my FPS's and so I bought "Star Wars Republic Commando" and "Brothers In arms" for the PC. The first is not bad but a little repetitive . The second is a depressingly realistic WWII sim which I guess is a little outdated now and its not very fun, unless you have a tactical mind and are entertained by gruesome sound effects. I don't mind an action sim so I picked up "Lock On" but this took me 1 hour to learn how to take off the landing strip. They have lots of modern jets in this game, I dont have much time to learn a hundred controls otherwise I would be flying these for real . TOCA 3 is my top rated racing game as it has the circuits i like to drive but I can only play multiplayer via split screen as it is on my friends Playstion. Still very much fun.

heeeeeeey, another one - same interests I also tested Lock On and it took me more than an hour to learn to land Guess it´s the same graphic engine as pacific fighters and IL2 (all ubisoft). Once I played NFS Underground, but I always prefered the racing sims of Codemasters. Last one I bought was DTM racer2. I was totally disappointed about ColinMcRae3 - it was a step back because not possible to play online. Version 4 I had big problems with sound onboard. I remember a long time ago I played ColinMcRae2 online - a worst graphic, but really big fun! Using a steering wheel, silk?

Hey guyz, the same me - tried Lock on, nice graphic but it was too much for my GF-MX420 and after HW upgrade i never tried it again due to lot of C4 fun ;D Joggl, i can recommend ColinMcRae5 - it`s nice graphic and real damage and attrition, much better then CMR 3 and 4. I spent behind the wheel some nights... Now i`m playin World Racing 2 - again excelent graphic and fun. Of course with steering wheel But i can`t never forget the C3 and the LAN Parties, that was times... I`m still looking to get from somwhere/anywhere the C3 Gold version (running under Windows) because the classic C3 runs under DOS and the currently PC`s are too new and it doesn`t works

2 PCs connected via Serial Port. Started playing C3 with my friend that time (remember AndiGER?). Wondering why I got thirsty - then I realized we were playing 12 hours non stop! Hey macko, I´m a swabian and I never buy an actual game - it´s too expensive I don´t know exactly, but the "onboard sound bug" of CMcRae4 is fixed in version 5? I´m not able to plug in another sound card (BIOS doesn´t allow to deactivate onboard gameport!!-and there never was a bios update avialable)

Thirsty after 12 hours playin... ;D I don`t know exactly about the sound problem fix, but i hope this extract from readme.txt from CMR5 could help: "SOUND CARDS: If you are experiencing sound abnormalities such as clicking and popping, you may need to turn off sound hardware acceleration. Go to Start, Control Panel, Sound, then find the sound/audio hardware acceleration setting and turn it off. Creative Soundblaster AWE 32 and AWE 64 known issues: These older cards do not perform hardware mixing and are particularly prone to poor performance with sound hardware acceleration turned on. Go to Start, Control Panel, Sound, then find the sound/audio hardware acceleration setting and turn it off. Occasionally, some users may experience poor audio quality when using an onboard nForce sound card in conjunction with certain graphics cards. Please update your nForce drivers and if the problem persists, switch over to the on-board graphics card." Yeah, i never buy an actual game too but CMR5 is from november 2004. Here some screenshots and videos: pc.ign.com/objects/679/679460.htmlAnd finally - i`m not an seller nor dealer of this game, i just like it and recommend it ;D

I had a steering wheel when I had a PS1 but I was incredibly slower with it . I then got another one when I had a 586 PC to use on Grand Prix II and Indycar racing but the only game I was ever good at with a steering wheel was Super Monaco Gp at the arcade. Do you remember that?

I play Comanche 4, Blackhawk Down and FEAR. Not allot of games but they keep me busy enough. I tried Lock On. But like some of the others have said theres just to many controles you need to figure out just to get off the ground. Tried the BF games a while back and didn't really care for them much either. The graphics are great but for a run and gun type game I prefer the Blackhawk Down.

Yeah I tried FEAR out but my PC made it a little too slow but from what I have seen of it, it looks pretty intelligent. Gunship! is a pretty decent game 1 player but I couldn't find a muliplayer community for it. Its basically Gunship 3 where you fly for either American, English, German, Russian armys in their countrys' helicopters. I got a demo from gamespot for Blazing Angels and I highly recommend it. How ever it needs a monster PC to run it well. Its kind of like WWII ace combat.

ooooops, forgot one. Daughter loves it. A very old one, but I very often had big laughs. Ever played "motocross madness2"? Much more better than first version. I like the map "bear mountain" as "stunts". My stunt record is a triple stunt counted 17200 X 3. Only possible at one point and only in this map. Never reached these scores in other maps. How to do: Speed up the road up to the observatory, drive 3/4 round it (take care because of that $%&§$ tree) and drive between the radio towers. You will fly and fly and fly and fly and.......landing in scarped terrain!

I play C4, BHD, Call of Duty, Meadl of Honor, and several Hunting games. But C4 is the only one I have played online.
I actually started getting interested in Video Games with Duke Nukem and Serious Sam 2 which I still play occasionally.
I have played and like Enemy Engaged, but it is very complicated and takes a while to play each level because you have a complete theater of war with all the bells and whistles. You have to control everything just like the real thing. I also played and liked Need for speed 1,2,3, NFS Hot Persuit,NFS Hight Stakes, NFS Porshe Unleashed, NFS Underground 1,and 2 and NHRA and Andretti Racing. As you can tell I have plenty of time on my hands since I am disabled. LOL I have many games on hand that I have never played since I do computer repair and folks are always giving me old computers and old software.

My Favourite games are Flight Simmers I have played C4 (my first ever simm) and MSFS 2004 (very good to learn how to fly) but the most sophisticated and best simm I have found to-date is Falcon 4 Allied Force, a truly amazing piece of equipment.
